Westfield Mall Changing the Face of Luxury Retail in the UK’s Capital
 
 
The UK’s Westfield Mall, Europe’s biggest urban shopping complex, has officially opened in London and is already making its mark as a pioneering luxury retail and leisure destination for shopping enthousiasts across the globe.
 
Sprawled over 1.6 million square feet, the AED9.2 billion center is now Europe’s biggest urban shopping complex, with 265 premium and high street retailers from more than 15 different countries, including 80 fashion and 40 luxury brands housed within a premium, boutique-style environment.
 
Carol Maddison, Marketing Manager for VisitBritain UAE, said: “Along with London’s premium shopping districts, The Westfield is set to become one of the top shopping destinations for Middle East travellers visiting London, providing a retail experience like no other in Britain.”
 
Catering to the needs of its discerning clientele, Westfield’s multi-lingual staff offers unprecedented levels of customer service, including personal shoppers, style advice, concierge, valet parking, a home delivery service for shopping goods, an electronic tagging system for lost children, and over 700 wi-fi points.
 
Dining is an equally important concept at Westfield London. With nearly 50 eateries offering some 25 types of cuisine, Westfield has created a bustling cluster of restaurants and open cooking counters running the length of Southern Terrace, a pedestrian dining street where fresh food, including halal options, is available.
 
Located in West London in the Shephard’s Bush area, Westfield has spent nearly AED1 billion on public transportation infrastructure to support the opening of the mall, including a new tube station, bus terminal and overground train connection.
