Symantec Launches Symantec University for Partners

Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced Symantec University for Partners, a newly expanded training and enablement program designed to offer partners a broad portfolio of resources and accreditations. Created for all Symantec partners as a center of learning and excellence, Symantec University for Partners provides resources to increase knowledge on Symantec’s broad range of products & solutions to reduce the sales cycle and help partners more effectively build solutions for their customers. The program will be released globally and is available to all members of the Symantec Partner Program.
Symantec partners will benefit from expanded training and broadened enablement solutions, which include more intelligence focused tools, resources and collaborative platforms. Symantec’s training includes product and role-based curriculum designed to improve partners’ knowledge of Symantec products, and their ability to sell, service and support them, directly benefiting their customers. Partners will also be able to collaborate in live peer-to-peer discussions with fellow sales engineers, solutions architects and professional service consultants using the Symantec Partner Technical Forum. Finally, access to Symantec technical tools and documentation provide partners with the intelligence to help them more effectively design and deploy Symantec solutions, provide customer support and generally increase their value to customers with improved service offerings.

Partners will have access to live classroom training, hands-on labs, on-demand eLearning and expert mentoring. Other resources available via Symantec University for Partners include Symantec’s enablement toolkit, a comprehensive collection of product tools, materials and other resources available for download. Also available is SymBrain, an interactive mapping tool to help partners quickly and easily determine the best Symantec solution to address their customers’ IT needs, as well as identify cross-sell opportunities to maximize the value of every deal.
