The Collection at Festival Centre, a 650,000 sq ft luxury expansion to the award winning retail resort, located at the heart of Dubai Festival City, will feature globally recognised flagship anchor brands and a mix of over 170 premium fashion labels, designer homewares and world renowned dining experiences was showcased at MAPIC 08 exhibition held at Cannes from November 19 – 22, 2008. The Collection, which is designed to link directly into the 400 room Four Seasons Hotel, the world’s most exclusive, luxury hotel brand and the first in the United Arab Emirates, will complete the 2.9 million sq ft Festival Centre retail resort.
Dubai’s total market potential for luxury retail and leisure is forecast to show impressive growth from approximately AED 7 billion in 2010 to AED 20.6 billion by 20151. Visitors to Dubai currently represent 69% of all luxury retail and leisure spending and this figure is forecast to rise to 77% by 2015 when 15 million visitors are expected2. Key tourism initiatives such as Dubai Shopping Festival and quality retail environments are strategically important to Dubai maintaining its position as one of the world’s top two shopping havens. This high level of tourism, coupled with a rapid population growth of approximately 25,000 new residents each month provides a rare and exciting opportunity for premium brand retailers.
Dubai Festival City is a 1300 acre mixed use urban community stretching 3 kms along Dubai Creek developed and operated by Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate, part of the dynamic Al-Futtaim group, one of the most progressive, private businesses in the region with over 70 companies. Festival Centre, which attracts 20 million guests a year, forms the focus of the community and enjoys a superior Creekside location and successfully blends shopping, dining and entertainment, hotels and a luxury Mediterranean styled Festival Marina to create a lifestyle and ambience reminiscent of the Cote D’Azur.

The Collection will house the largest grouping of luxury retailing in Dubai and the tiered architectural design provides multiple opportunities for retailers to attract and engage with guests. The ground and first floor will be dedicated to luxury retailing and department stores. The second floor will feature designer homewares, a five star day spa and a luxury foodhall. Michelin starred fine dining roof top restaurants will have spectacular views over the Creek and the famous Dubai skyline.
