Emirates NBD, a UAE Banking ‘legend’ for 3 decades, extends its support again this year to the UAE sporting with its title sponsorship of The Legends “Rock” Dubai 2008. As part of the Outback Champions Series, Emirates NBD’s Legends “Rock” Dubai 2008 is scheduled to take place from 19^th to 22^nd of November 2008 at the Dubai Tennis Stadium at the Aviation Club. 
 
The sponsorship of the iconic event, which sees the arrival of some of the world’s most famous and successful tennis players, is a further demonstration of Emirates NBD’s commitment to supporting and promoting sports in the region. 
 
Mr. Jamal Bin Ghalaita, General Manager of Consumer Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD said, “Our involvement in Emirates NBD’s Legends Rock Dubai is completely in line with our commitment to promote sports and fitness in the region, and is a reflection of Emirates NBD’s image of being energetic and competitive. With the arrival of a number of the world’s greatest tennis players, we are delighted to be a part of this prestigious event once again in 2008. ”
 
In conjunction with the exciting event, Emirates Bank, renowned for its rewarding consumer promotions, is devising an exciting promotion which offers customers a 20% discount off the total ticket cost when purchasing tickets for the event through Banknet, their online banking system.
 
Also, the bank has secured a time-slot during the event for its Al Shaheen and Suhail Priority banking customers who are attending Emirates NBD’s Legends “Rock” Dubai to meet the players, take photos with them and even get their autographs. In addition, Emirates NBD will be entertaining its most valued guests and clients in one of Dubai Tennis Stadiums VIP Hospitality lounges, with a dinner buffet and the best seats in the house for the ultimate view of the exciting games. The audiences will also get a chance to win unique memorablia of the players through a daily draw at the Emirates NBD exhibition stand. The Priority customers will also get a chance to play with some of the players at the Pro-AM event while their kids can play against the legends at the kids day event.
 
Emirates NBD is also placing its mobile ATM Truck at The Aviation Club which is a. custom built mini-truck, housing a self-service branch of the bank an ATM, Automated Instant Cash and Cheque Deposit Machine, as well as a PC connected to the Internet for access to online banking services. The mobile ATM features the latest in GPRS wireless technology, thus making the vehicle highly mobile and flexible in its placement. Sales representatives will be available at the Emirates NBD ATM Truck and stands to assist visitors with all their banking enquiries.
 
Emirates NBD has a rich history of lending support to sports in the region which can be seen through its many sponsorships of sporting events and teams including: the Dubai Tennis Championship, Al Ain Squash Tournament, The UAE Football Association, The Abu Dhabi Women Volleyball Tournament, Dubai Desert Classic, the UAE National Golf Team, meDRIVE Angels (Softball Team), and Dubai Police Snooker Tournament, Cricket, Basketball and Karate.
