C3 Card achieves great success with Al Hamad Contracting in their first electronic payroll experience
|
- Thousands of workers use ATM machines for the first time
In a first of its kind, C3 Card, a leading provider in the Pre-paid and Money Transfer payment products and services, enabled workers for Al Hamad Contracting Company to use their new Payroll cards at the C3 Mobile ATM trucks on the labour camp sites situated at the Dubai Industrial City and at Al Qoz Industrial Area.
With the aim to translate the vision of the Ministry of Labour of providing workers in the UAE financial security by ensuring on time salary payments through traceable electronic transactions instead of cash or cheque payments, C3 Card has gone a step further by providing those workers with complete financial security, flexibility and freedom. Mr. Mohamed Belarj, President of C3 Card said “This will give workers the opportunity for financial inclusion into society through the virtual account”.
Excited not only about the prospect of receiving their salaries, but also about obtaining their salaries from their virtual accounts through the provided C3 Card Mobile ATM truckmachines for the first time; workers gathered around the machines and their supervisors in the presence of C3 Card and Al Hamad Group, and watched in awe as the first worker made his first transaction, while the tagline “out with the old, in with the new” appeared on the colourful C3 Card Mobile ATM trucks. “This line never made more sense than today” added Mr. Belarj as he witnessed the happiness and relief amongst those workers at the ease of obtaining their money. The C3 Card Mobile ATM trucks is also equipped with Customer Service and there are several C3 Card Staff available to answer questions for first-time users
“beautiful!” said Mr. Ali Al-Nsour, Camp Manager at Al Hamad Al Qoz camp of over 2000 workers, as he contemplated the 4 lines around the C3 Card Mobile ATM truck. “Here I am, enjoying the AC, drinking coffee. I do not know what to do anymore. You should see how it usually is around here during the 5-day pay! Panic, stress, sweat, shouting, you name it, but to get it all done in just three hours is astonishing!”.
This financial security and freedom provided by C3 Card in collaboration with Commercial Bank International will go beyond the camp sites’ borders of the large construction and contracting corporations, as those workers enjoy the benefits of carrying a MasterCard without the fear of debt since the unique C3 Card functions as a debit card. It can be used at any ATM worldwide as well as any point of purchase with the MasterCard logo.
