Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a leading innovator in the world’s technology industry, today launched an extended range of quality compact and color laser printers with the launch of the CLP 310 series, CLX 3175FN series, ML-1640 and ML-2240.

Madhav Narayan, General Manager, IT Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics said: “we are delighted to launch this new range of printers, especially the world’s smallest and quietest colour laser printers & MFPs among Samsung full range of printers. The introduction of these latest models to the printer range continues Samsung’s tradition of offering users stress-free printing at affordable prices”. “All of the products meet Samsung’s high standards of design and functionality, with a goal to make life easier for consumers and increase operational efficiencies for businesses of all sizes.” Narayan added.

CLP 310 series & CLX-3170 MFP series

With superb colour laser quality, the CLP-310 printer series and CLX-3170 MFP series produce picture perfect results, with the crisp, sharp finish of laser. A compact design and quiet operation make these models perfect for a small office with limited space, without compromising on functionality.

The CLP-310 printer series and the CLX-3170 MFP series include some of the smallest colour laser devices of their kind on the market. Available in a choice of two colours, sleek black or professional two-tone grey, these quality laser printers & MFPs will complement any small office space, while their small footprint gives users more desk space and a clutter-free environment. For whisper-quiet operation, both series feature Samsung’s exclusive NO-NOISä technology, ensuring noise levels at 46 decibels (equivalent to a library) – ideal for a printer that can sit on a desk and not disturb those working close by.

Wireless capability is available on two models in the series - the CLP-315 and CLX-3175FW, which helps to remove unsightly wires and offers increased flexibility. The CLX-3170 series also features a direct USB interface - no need to log on to a computer to print or scan a document, simply place the USB memory key straight in to the USB connection port of the device and press print or scan.

Colour laser technology powers the CLP-310 and CLX-3170 series to deliver premium quality prints in colour or black and white. Users that require a number of devices to help with the smooth running of a business should look to the CLX-3170 series for a ‘do-it-all’ printing solution (print, copy, scan and fax) which supports all functions in full colour. The CLP-310 is an ideal partner for those with a smaller budget but who need to rely on their printer to deliver high quality prints.

ML 1640 and ML 2240 series

Designed to look good and perform well, the new mono laser printers are available in a choice styles - the ML-1640 in sleek black and ML-2240 in a robust two-tone black and grey finish. Additional features of the design have been developed to save users time and effort – a convenient output tray on top of the unit collects prints, while a paper tray dispenser of 150 sheets minimizes the need for regular re-stocking of paper. To meet the demands of busy offices, the ML-1640 offers printing speeds of 16ppm, while the ML-2240 boasts 22ppm (A4) output, ensuring time is not wasted waiting for large jobs to print.

A convenient ‘Error LED’ allows users to identify and respond to printer issues quickly and minimize office disruption. A ‘Toner Save’ button on both models provides users with the option to print jobs using 30 per cent less toner. Not only does this help minimize waste, it also increases efficiency by saving resources to reduce printing costs in the long-run.

Both printers operate with minimal noise pollution to ensure sound disruption in the office is reduced. The ML-1640 operates at up to 50 decibels and whilst the ML-2240 only 51 decibels – the same noise level as any normal home, making these solutions ideal for even the quietest office environment, where noise pollution may be an issue.

Samsung’s new line-up has been designed specifically for businesses ranging from small home offices to enterprise workgroups. To complement the printers, Samsung has also extended its range of print solutions, helping business get the most from their printers.  Benefits include document and device management, security, improved workflow and detailed reporting.
