Epson launches high-performance A3 business scanner in the Middle East

- The GT-20000 Series scanners offer imaging innovations, high reliability and enhanced compatibility with document management systems
Epson has announced the Middle East launch of the GT-20000 Series A3 flatbed business scanner. The GT-20000 Series replaces Epson’s successful GT-15000 models, increasing scanning speeds to up to 23 pages per minute in black and white and 15 pages per minute in colour. The robust and efficient scanner is ideal for handling large workloads and the GT-20000’s suite of imaging features enhance ease-of-use, whilst a 600x1200 optical resolution guarantees image quality.
The GT-20000 and the GT-20000NPro with Built-in Network interface and a 100 sheet auto document feeder (ADF), both incorporate the new and enhanced EpsonScan 3.4 software as standard. Packed with extensive features including RGB colour drop-out, auto de-skew, auto page size detection, text enhancement technology and Auto Area Segmentation, the Epson Scan 3.4 package saves users the cost of investing in expensive imaging software and increases productivity by ensuring impressive results first time.
A secure PDF function enables users to set access privileges before a document is scanned and the PDF scan function enables multiple PDFs to be automatically created from a batch of documents. Twain and ISIS driver support as well as Extensive connectivity options allow scanned documents to be accessed via high-speed USB 2.0, SCSI or a network interface, which enables the GT-20000 to be used as a shared resource within workgroups.
Khalil El Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East, said, “Epson has established itself in the top position of the A3 EMEA business scanner market and is going to strengthen its leading position with the new and impressive GT-20000Series. Products such as these are becoming increasingly popular with businesses looking to reduce costs by improving document management efficiency, implementing automated document management processes, improving document security and eliminating document shipping costs.”
As an A3 scanner, the GT-20000 Series also has applications outside of the typical workplace. Architects, town planners, planning application offices within the public sector and creative industries typically work with high volumes of large format documents. Such markets have a high requirement for digitalising their documentation to improve efficiency in document organisation and access. The GT-20000 and GT-20000NPro offer the versatility and reliability today’s business deserves.
