Proceeds from new campaign to be donated to fight against cancer, child education & underprivileged women
For the third consecutive year, following on from Meg Ryan, Kiefer Sutherland, Kim Basinger and Gary Sinise, the Baume & Mercier image is to be represented by a pair of Hollywood luminaries: Teri Hatcher and Ashton Kutcher.
The brand remains true to its approach of capitalizing on its values and particularly on the close ties it develops with the people who wear its watches. As in the two previous Baume & Mercier campaigns, the new one is based on supporting a good cause.
All royalties normally due to the two ambassadors as well as the two photographers - Robert Erdmann for Teri Hatcher and Jim Wright for Ashton Kutcher - will be donated to charities jointly chosen by the Hollywood stars and the watch brand. This new campaign will thereby serve to support the fight against cancer, the promotion of child education, as well as helping underprivileged women.
Teri Hatcher and Ashton Kutcher join the A-list of celebrities who have been contributing alongside Baume & Mercier over the past three years to supporting various worthy humanitarian causes.
Baume & Mercier has demonstrated on numerous occasions the importance it places on the community through fundraising sales activities and partnerships with charitable organizations.
The notion of caring for others unites the Baume & Mercier watchmaking house and the two celebrities to work together on this campaign.
The Baume & Mercier Swiss watchmaking house had made luxury accessible to all thanks to a powerful claim: “Baume & Mercier & Me” but for the benefit of others as well. A style of luxury at the service of others!
The choice of celebrities made by the brand to support this new campaign includes personalities that have something in common with the watchmaking house; authentic public figures displaying true human qualities who are both easily approachable and close to people. Kim Basinger and Gary Sinise amply displayed the prerequisites of generosity and spontaneity for this charity campaign in the recent past and Teri Hatcher and Ashton Kutcher will take it forward in 2008.
