Show achieves 95% satisfaction rate
Research carried out at Summer in Abu Dhabi, the eight week family festival being staged at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until August 18th, has indicated that visitors to the event are extremely satisfied with the inaugural show.
Over the last few weeks, more than 600 visitors have been interviewed on a range of topics relating the event. The interviewees were asked to rate the show on scale of one-to-ten (ten being perfect); on average visitors rated the show at 9.5 out of 10 (95%).
The same study also revealed that 42% of visitors to the event have been from outside of Abu Dhabi; the largest portion of these coming from Al Ain (19%), followed by Dubai (8%). 3% of the event visitors have been from overseas, the largest proportion of which have come from Saudi Arabia (2%).
40% of visitors said that Fun Island, with its Fairground Rides, has been their favourite Island, while 11% said that they have enjoyed Heritage & Culture Island most. A major indicator of Summer in Abu Dhabi’s appeal is the fact that 25% of people have visited the show more than once; with 1.3% of visitors attending at least 5 times.
Commenting on the survey results, Mr. Faisal Al Sheikh Head of Event Section ADTA said: “I have spoken to many Summer in Abu Dhabi visitors over the last few weeks so it comes as no surprise that reaction is very positive, but for us to achieve a 95% satisfaction rate is fantastic and incredibly rare for a launch event. I am also particularly pleased that so many of the visitors to Summer in Abu Dhabi were from outside of the city as we have been careful to market this as an event for the whole nation.”
Summer in Abu Dhabi runs at ADNEC from June 26th - August 18th. Tickets are priced at AED30 for an adult and AED20 for a child between 4 - 16, children under 4 get in free. Tickets can be purchased on the door and visitors are advised to park at Sheikh Zayed Sports City, where ADNEC will provide a constant free shuttle bus service.
