The Fondation De La Haute Horlogerie has recently appointed Mr. Abdul Hamied Ahmed Seddiqi of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons ‘Fine Watch-making Ambassador’. The appointment certificate was handed over to Mr. Abdul Hamied by Mr. Patrick Normand, Managing Director Cartier Middle East and President of the French Foreign Trade Advisors (UAE Chapter), during a private lunch held at Emirates Towers.
 
“Mr. Seddiqi’s professional reputation, vast knowledge of mechanical, technical and precious fine watch-making as well as his continuous support of the ethics and values of the watch-making art, makes him a recognized personality that can promote the fondation’s culture and tradition,” says Patrick Normand, Head of the Mission Delegate Middle Eastern – India - Turkey of the Foundation & Managing Director of Cartier Middle East.

The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie was created as the world of watch-making has changed and is continuing to change with increasing rapidity. The Foundation has around one hundred Fine Watch Ambassadors worldwide, from retailers and collectors to experts in the watch industry whose role will be to represent and promote the Foundation’s activities among the public, contribute to the fight against counterfeits and servile copies, support and take part in events and activities in the market.
