Shoppers line up in serpentine queues before store opening to avail of unprecedented offer on iMate SP5
 
Sharaf DG, Dubai’s largest one-stop electronics destination in the region has been experiencing huge crowds, thronging it’s outlets at Times Square Center, Ibn Battuta and Deira City Centre malls, anxious to avail of the retailer’s latest promotion on the iMate SP5 Windows mobile smartphone. Shoppers queued up outside Sharaf DG stores from 6:30 a.m., hours before store opening to avail of the unprecedented offer on the iMate SP5. The phone is being offered at an astounding price of AED 299/- as compared to it’s original retail price of AED 1299/- and is part of Sharaf DG’s Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2008 promotion which has been receiving an overwhelming response from shoppers.

Shoppers cannot be blamed for queuing up early in the morning outside the Sharaf DG outlets, even before the stores opened, to take advantage of the iMate offer. The i-mate SP5 Smartphone with MS Windows Mobile 5.0 is a quad-band phone with built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and supports EDGE networks. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera with video-recording capabilities and Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for more videos and music. Other goodies include a speakerphone, as well as text, multimedia, and instant messaging. It rocks a sharp 2.2-inch-diagonal QVGA screen that shows 64,000 colors and has features for both work and play.


Sharaf DG has come up with an exciting ‘DSS Chill Thrills’ promotion theme this summer. The promotion guarantees that every customer who spends AED 100 at any Sharaf DG outlet across Dubai gets gifts worth AED 160 including a Dreamland Aqua Park voucher and a free pass to ‘Chillout’ – the Middle EastCs first-ever ice lounge at the Times Square CenterinDubai.
