•  As part of preparations to begin construction work on new building

Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) will temporary relocate the offices of insurance companies that are currently functioning at Hatta land border to the nearby Emarat petrol station.
 
This move comes as part of preparations to start construction work on a new building for Hatta border check-point in the coming days, which is estimated to cost AED 15,500,000 and will take 12 months to complete.
 
On their part, the Road Transport Authority (RTA) is preparing alternative routes and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is working on a temporary infrastructure to maintain power supply, while Dubai Ports, Customs and Freezone Corporation is getting ready to relocate its offices as well.
 
The decision was taken in a meeting held recently by DNRD, which was headed by Colonel Eid Al Falasi, Assistant Director of DNRD for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and attended by a number of DNRD senior officials.
