Emirates Cooperative Society slashes prices Ramadan

This Ramadan Emirates Cooperative Society, a leading supermarket chain in Dubai is reducing prices on essential items on food and non food items between 5% to 30 % starting from Thursday at all its branches located in Garhoud, Safouh, Jaffliya, Mizhar-2, Twar-3 and Hatta. "This is to help our local and expatriate customers against the increasing food price, to keep the spirit of giving this Ramadan and as per the instructions of the board of directors and also in line with the country wide campaign launched by UAE government to prevent any possible manipulation of prices by some traders during the holy month." Said Farid Al Shamandy, acting General Manager of Emirates Cooperative Society
"This Ramadan we are providing our customers with a variety of selections at low prices, the items include rice, oil, frozen chicken, fresh meat, fruit & vegetables, sugar, vimto, flour, powder milk, canned foods plus non food items like aluminum foil, plastic plates, electronic items and household items." Farid said
"We are also providing our customers with the option of a wholesale Ramadan basket for Dhs.300, this basket will include items like pakistani rice 20kg, flour 10kg, sugar 10kg, oil 1.8ltr, powder milk 2.5kg and tomato paste 100 pcs. We have directly imported the rice from Pakistan, which is of high quality and less than the market price. We are selling it for between Dhs.30 – Dhs.40. Import- Export dept has been set up as per the strategic plan of the board of directors to control prices on essential items. We currently import around 300 items directly to support our customers." Farid added.
"To help and support our customers we have improved the call center operations. Now customers closest to the branches can place their orders through our call center no 800-327. They simply have to place the order and it will be delivered to their door steps. We are also coordinating for Dubai, with the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan charity and the Ministry of Society for the distribution of the charity items for allocated customers at our Al Mizhar 2 and Hatta branches." Farid said. Al Mizhar 2 is the new branch that we opened last month; it has all the international brands like Damas, Axiom, Mc Donald etc with a food court and a childrens play area. Added Farid
"All branches of Emirates Cooperative Society have allocated special promotion area for the convenience of the customers. We have even made available special trolleys for childerns so that parents can shop at their hearts will. We are prepared and ready to welcome the holy month of Ramadan." Added Farid.
