•  Initiative to Reach out to GCC Families during Holy Month of Ramadan

Every week during the Holy Month of Ramadan, GCC families tuning in to the popular quiz show ‘Chooz w Fooz’ will have the opportunity to put their knowledge of Britain to the test for a chance to win an exclusive trip for two to London, Visit Britain has announced.
 
The lively and interactive game show, which airs on Al Aan TV every night at 00:30 UAE time, encourages audience participation to answer a series of challenging questions by SMS, with a winner announced at the end of each show.
 
A special UK-themed edition of the program will be aired every Monday evening as part of a month-long Ramadan campaign aimed at entertaining viewers whilst raising their awareness of Britain as a leading destination for Arab families, says the tourism agency.
 
“Families from the Gulf make up the majority of our Middle East visitor traffic and these competitions are a great way for viewers to learn interesting facts about Britain and the many family-friendly activities the region has to offer year round,” said Carol Maddison, Marketing Manager, Visit Britain UAE.
 
The UK has long been a favourite destination for GCC travellers, with an extensive range of family-oriented tourist attractions bringing in an increasing number of visitors each year - making this region one of its most important and fastest-growing tourism markets.
 
The initiative is part of Visit Britain’s ‘Be Inspired’ marketing campaign, a special project aimed at showcasing the diverse opportunities, unique experiences, and world-class services on offer in one the world’s most popular visitor destinations in the world.
