• Hitachi Data Systems awards DHL EMEA “Logistics Partner Excellence Award 2007-2008” for Spare Parts Logistics and Express
  
   

DHL Express EMEA, the world’s leading express and logistics provider recently scooped the “Logistics Partner Excellence Award 2007-2008” for both Spare Parts Logistics (SPL) and Express presented by Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Limited, during the Global Transportation Forum held recently in the Netherlands.
 
DHL Express was selected by Hitachi Data Systems to acknowledge the ability of the logistics team to respond to customer demands at short notice and their versatility in providing excellent aftermarket services. This in turn resulted in high end user satisfaction, which ultimately led to incremental sales and an increase in market share for Hitachi Data Systems.
 
Henk Witteman, Spare Parts Logistics Manager at Hitachi Data Systems Europe, presented the award to Brian Forbes, Express Logistics Manager, DHL Express UAE and his team at a dinner hosted for all suppliers on the occasion of the Global Transportation Forum. Mr. Witteman commented: “Spare part availability and delivery accuracy are crucial key factors for Hitachi Data Systems customers. Thanks to the long term partnership, DHL perfectly understands Hitachi Data System’s business and the importance of a flawless delivery and what needs to be done to accomplish a service level of 99.8%.
