BABY LOVES DISCO is celebrating a fantastic SOLD OUT launch event on Saturday October 11th 2008.  The great news is babyshop and Host mum Emma Scorpo have teamed up again to create the ultimate ‘Disco Playground’ for Dubai’s hippest parents and their kids. The second event takes place on Saturday November 8^th. The phenomenon has officially taken hold in Dubai and ticket sales for the November 8th and December 13th events are already way beyond the organiser’s expectations!
 
The launch:
The launch event was a huge success!  The dance floor was packed; Kids were having a ball with hula-hoops, play scarves and maracas everywhere!  There were tons of Dads dancing and joining in the fun; always a terrific sign and yummy mummies were chatting, dancing eating and enjoying the special time out with the family. There were big kids, little kids, and the tiniest of babies all grooving to the fantastic tracks selected by the DJ to get everyone grooving on the dance floor.  Planet Hollywood provided delicious food, from chicken fillet nuggets, to yummy mini pizzas, tropical fruit cups and candy floss and popcorn machines...  The babyshop magician was amazing and at one stage had over 150 people in the chill out zone watching his stage show mesmerized.  The Hotwheels and Barbie play corners were a super popular and when the real live Barbie made her appearance everyone was keen to get a shot with her.  Chris Fisher spun terrific tracks to get everyone on the dance floor.  Well done to the babyshop dance competition winners... Terrific little dancers :)
November 8^th event

We have even more in store for party number 2 like an under 1’s lounge and play area upstairs in the VIP lounge.  This will be a pleasant retreat for Mums and Dads with little ones in tow who might need a rest or to have something to eat in a quieter environment.  All the toys up there will be specifically for under 1 year olds, there will be lots of bean bags to lounge around on and play with your babies.  Downstairs the Barbie and Hotwheels play areas will be back again and we will have even more toys in the chill out zone with a dedicated party entertainer playing games with the kids.  The magician and face painters will be back again too!

The Baby Loves Disco concept:
The global craze Baby Loves Disco is an afternoon dance party for little kids (6 months – 7 years) and (especially) their parents. This latest and most unlikely craze was started in the USA by Co-founders Heather Murphy and Andy Blackman Hurwitz about three years ago and now boasts sell out events all over the world on a monthly basis including 7 cities in the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Poland, Japan and Hong Kong, to name a few.

Emma took it upon herself to bring the original dance party to the UAE after a family trip to London in April where she got swept up in all that was Baby Loves Disco UK. She knew in an instant that it was the perfect family event for Dubai’s outgoing expat community. With her background in Event management and PR it was the perfect project to embark on following a long break as a full time mum.
