- Governments and private sector to explore GCC health challenges
The first Dubai Congress on Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine (DCAAAM) will welcome 500 delegates from more than 50 countries to this ground breaking event which takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from November 7-9, 2008.
For the first time in the UAE, international healthcare professionals from governments, clinics, hospitals and universities will meet at the accredited American Academy of Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine congress to discuss and learn about the latest innovations and treatment solutions to prevent and even reverse the signs of aging and degeneration.
Delegates from as far a field as the UK, USA, Australia, Brazil, Germany, France and Singapore will share knowledge and listen to over 50 experts at the DCAAAM conference, workshops and live demonstrations. The UAE, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt represent the Middle East.
UAE specialists are attending from such renowned establishments as the Moorfields Eye Hospital, American Hospital, Tawaam Hospital, Dubai London Clinic, General Medical Centre, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Emphasising the importance of education in the aesthetic anti-aging market, respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Jaffer Khan, Medical International Specialist Centre, Dubai explains his reasons for attending DCAAAM.
"We are seeing increasing numbers of patients interested in aesthetic procedures both surgical and non surgical. We should be able to offer them a full spectrum of services, an integral part of which is anti aging medicine. It is important for surgeons to be in touch with the latest advances in this field to compliment their existing practice. I am looking forward to an educational and rewarding conference.”
Running alongside the conference is a trade exhibition with over 100 products and services being showcased including medical suppliers, cosmetic surgery clinics, fitness and weight-loss companies to supplements and nutrition products and alternative medicine practitioners.
Regional companies Kalium Group, Mothmir, Pharmapal, Amico, Medica, Proderma, Linline and Dansys are all exhibiting, together with clinics Cosmesurge and Retrieve. International anti-aging companies include Obagi, Ondamed, Germanos, Sciton, Canfield, Promoitalia, Palomar and Genosense Diagnostics.
The first Dubai Congress on Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 7-9 November.
