  •  Innovative security platform integrates under vehicle inspection, license plate recognition, traffic management & surveillance into user-friendly multi-lingual solution

SIMTIX, a multinational security technology company providing design, implementation, and integration solutions, has announced that it will be introducing the latest version of its “SIMTIX: Perimeter Guardian (SPG)” vehicular threat assessment system at Intersec 2009, a leading international security and safety trade show to be held from January 18 to 20, 2009, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Simtix: Perimeter Guardian integrates world-class undercarriage imaging and license plate scanning technologies with advanced security device management systems into an advanced perimeter security system that protects facilities from vehicular threats. One of its key capabilities is the detection of Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices. The latest version of SPG, which uses a touch-screen interface and can be operated in multiple languages including Arabic, features image capture and management; full traffic control; vehicle history; alarms; and report generation.

“More organisations are realising the importance of deploying smarter and more effective security measures in light of today’s challenging global socio-political and economic landscapes. At SIMTIX, we recognise that there are other highly-specialised companies that can build superior security hardware and hence we are adopting an approach whereby we are not trying to reinvent security technologies; we integrate the world’s best hardware products to create compelling, fully-integrated systems to protect critical infrastructure and assets,” said Wafic Faraj, CEO, SIMTIX.

SIMTIX has partnered with the best specialized security technology providers in the world to develop its pioneering SPG solution. These include Perceptics; ICx Technologies; and Axis.

In addition to SPG Ver. 2.0, SIMTIX will be showcasing its “SIMTIX: Facility Guardian (SFG),” the real-time people and asset tracking system, at Intersec 2009 booth number 5802C. The new radio frequency ID-based technology monitors and protects facilities via advanced surveillance, tracking and identity verification technologies. SFG will allow authorised security personnel to track both people and assets in real-time without disrupting legitimate activities and immediately generate automatic alerts when security breaches occur. The product is capable of integrating biometrics into current security configurations and relies on the same technology currently used by NASA, the US Department of Defense, and world-class museums.

SIMTIX is negotiating various projects mostly concentrated in the KSA, which represents 80 per cent of its Middle Eastern market. SIMTIX is also the exclusive Middle Eastern distributor for Perceptics, LLC, the leading US Border Security and Traffic Managementcompany renowned for its innovative imaging technology solutions for mission critical security and revenue protection applications.
