Ecobility Secures Orders from MAC Cosmetics to supply PaperStone; a LEED recognized Green Building Material

•  Two new MAC Stores; Harvey Nichols (KSA) and Dubai Mall (UAE) to be fit with the eco-friendly Architectural Surface

Ecobility Energy Solutions LLC, the UAE’s private sector pioneer in sustainability solutions, today announced it has secured orders from MAC, the leading brand of professional cosmetics, for PaperStone™, a sustainable and eco-friendly architectural surface for which the company holds exclusive distribution rights.
 
PaperStone is a highly durable surface with a contemporary stone-like appearance made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and a petroleum-free natural resin. Incorporating PaperStone into building projects may contribute towards up to five LEED credits in the following areas; Recycled Content 10%, Recycled Content 20%, Certified Wood Materials, Low Emitting Materials and Innovation in Design. LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - is the Green Building Council''s internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
 
MAC which is globally renowned for their commitment to the environment has elected to use the eco-friendly material to fit out two of its newest stores located in Riyadh and Dubai. Wadah Abusin, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Ecobility, said: “PaperStone is without doubt the greenest solid surface on the market today and is a significant contributor to sustainable design when incorporated into either residential or commercial projects. As a result of the ease of workmanship and finish of the product, the installation process is straightforward and the economics are very attractive as it costs less than quality granite, yet it does not compromise on the aesthetics.” 
 
PaperStone is the only architectural solid surface certified by the Forest Stewardship Council for using 100% post-consumer recycled paper. It is also certified by The Rainforest Alliance. Mr. Abusin added: “We recommend PaperStone for a wide variety of horizontal and vertical applications both indoors and out, such as kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity tops, decorative wall paneling, as well as landscape components and other manufactured products.”
