Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI), the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that NetDialog has joined the Blue Coat Technology Integration Partner Program to offer a combined solution that provides enterprises with visibility into the applications running on the network along with the tools to set and manage performance goals. By providing end-to-end visibility into application performance over the Wide Area Network (WAN), from request to delivery, Blue Coat and NetDialog can help enterprises optimize their network resources and increase return on investment.
 
Blue Coat^® PacketShaper^® appliances identify applications on the network and provide flexible policy-based control to ensure business-critical applications receive the bandwidth they require to perform as expected. NetDialog NetX complements the visibility derived from the PacketShaper appliances and enables enterprises to define and manage service level agreements on a per application basis. 
 
As an application performance monitoring and management solution, Blue Coat PacketShaper appliances provide an ideal point for NetDialog to gather performance information. Network administrators can utilize the NetDialog data to set and manage performance goals. The ability to monitor performance across the WAN enables administrators to establish efficient and effective business processes across the distributed enterprise. Companies can measure application performance and ensure corporate goals are met.

Blue Coat PacketShaper appliances can classify more than 600 applications, providing enterprises with an in-depthunderstanding of the traffic on their networks. NetX, which is deployed as a hosted service (SaaS), provides businesses with the ability to continuously monitor and analyze the performance, efficiency and delivery of applications and business processes over Application Delivery Networks. The hosted service model enables network administrators to quickly and easily deploy NetX with secure access to performance and service-level information from any place, anytime, anywhere.
 
When combined with the NetX technology, the combined Blue Coat and NetDialog solution allows enterprises to set enforceable bandwidth limits on an application basis, as well as to track the performance of individual applications to monitor the end user experience.
