  • AlSada: Media consumption in the Middle East is changing daily

BARWA Media, Qatar’s world-class through-the-line agency and subsidiary of BARWA Real Estate Company, praised the success of the two-day BARWA Media-sponsored FT Society, Media & Technology Summit 2009 (FT Summit), which concluded at The Ritz-Carlton Doha on Tuesday 19 May.

Chaired by former UK Business Editor and Associate Editor of the Financial Times John Willman, the FT Summit attracted 400 regional leaders from the broadcast, publishing, telecommunications and technology sectors to share their insights into emerging trends, build high-level relationships and create new business opportunities.

“Media consumption in the Middle East is changing daily, with escalating demand for real-time news and mobile entertainment. At this critical moment in the industry, BARWA Media was delighted to support FT Summit stakeholders to engage in the debate and forge new alliances that are crucial to success in our rapidly evolving market,” says Mr. Mohamed Bader AlSada, consultant to BARWA Media.
The FT Summit focused on future developments and evolutions in the ever-changing telecommunication technology landscape. Specifically, the challenges faced by Qatar’s start-up, midsize and multinational technology companies in adapting to the rapid nature of new trends and technologies.

“Speaking to many FT Summit delegates it is clear they all gained valuable insight into today’s agenda-setting issues such as the diversity of the GCC market, the future growth of mobile content and the strategies put forward for revenue generation in the current economic downturn,” added AlSada.

To enable the growth of Qatar and ensure long term success for the country’s industries, BARWA has established several local subsidiary companies including BARWA Media to provide creative media, marketing and communications services for BARWA and its subsidiaries and other elite companies.
