SEHA - AHS launches 'Travel Medicine' services; keeping travelers' health protected.

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company’s (SEHA) Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) announces the launch of its new 'Travel Medicine' service. The initiative has been launched utilizing modern facilities and the support of expert medical professionals to safeguard the health of travelers by meeting the complete vaccination needs.
Additionally this service offers some of the most commonly used vaccines such as Meningococcal, Yellow Fever, Typhoid, Malaria Prophylaxis, Rabies and Hepatitis A.
Experienced AHS Consultants prescribe and administer the vaccinations required for the destination being traveled to at five convenient AHS Healthcare Center locations namely;
Disease Prevention & Screening Center (DPSC) - Abu Dhabi,
Healthcare Centers Al Samha, Al Muwaiji, Bain Al Jesraen and Khalifa-A.
“Overseas travelers have up to a 50% chance of suffering from travel-related illnesses. Therefore, it is always prudent to have a medical check-up prior to travel for personalized advice on how to reduce your risk of illness,” said Ms. Kim Anderson – Manager, Public Health & School Health Services, SEHA - AHS.
“Our Ambulatory Healthcare Service Centers will ensure that all such queries from travelers are catered to in the most effective manner, enabling them to plan assuredly and travel confidently," said Dr. John Evangelista - Director, SEHA - AHS.
Before embarking on a journey, it is advisable to research all possible health risks relative to the countries one plans to visit, and take the necessary precautionary measures to prevent illness and injury.
AHS centers operate five days a week from Sunday to Thursday.
