Emirates NBD Recognized as Best Retail Bank at the Middle East Banker Awards in Bahrain

Following a series of prestigious awards that Emirates NBD has acquired after the merger, the largest banking group in the region in terms of assets has added an additional award to its fruitful profile by winning the Best Retail Bank award at ‘Middle East Banker Awards’ ceremony, held at the Gulf Hotel, on June 2009 in Bahrain.
 
Mr. Mohammed Al Falasi, Senior VP of Direct Sales & Head of Alternate Channels at Emirates NBD; and Mr. Mohammed Bilal, Area Manager at Emirates NBD, received the award during the ceremony on behalf of the bank.
 
Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Deputy CEO at Emirates NBD stated, “We are delighted to receive this esteemed award from Middle East Banker Awards. This recognition is a testament to the tremendous success we have had over the last couple of years in merging two leading banks to develop and deliver a full suite of retail products and services. Emirates NBD is today a leading provider of retail financial services in the UAE, and is committed to providing customers with innovative value-added products and the highest levels of customer service,”
 
“The year 2009 is a successful year in general and we are looking forward to the challenges ahead,” Mr. Bin Ghalaita concluded.

The awards were given away based on industry judges’ nominations for each category rating performance, innovation, improvement and growth over the last 12 months.
