EQA & DQG launch Idea of the Year Competition

Emirates Quality Association (EQA) launched recently, one of the most important competitions in the field of intellectual creativity and innovation among the organizations in the emirate titled ’Idea of the Year’ competition during the Ideas.Arabia Conference which was held in Abu Dhabi in cooperation with Dubai Quality Group (DQG).
 
The initiative aims at exposing organizations to the role and mechanism of Suggestion & Rewarding Scheme in improving performance and developing profits, which leads to quality service, in addition to fostering the spirit of innovation and creativity among staff.
 
Professor Hadi Al Tigani, Chairman of Emirates Quality Association, welcomed the audience and reminded them of the association's role and its active contributions since its inception in disseminating a culture of quality in UAE’s business community. He also stressed the important steps taken by the association through its strategic plan that tends to build partnerships with local and international organizations interested in quality performance and work to instill the principles of quality and excellence, and set them in their organizational priorities.
 
Al Tijani also praised the role of the association in improving the performance of organizations in Abu Dhabi, through integrated programs about management quality and organizational excellence, as these programs have given a strong indication that the path of quality and excellence in Abu Dhabi is in line with the strategic vision of its great leadership.
 
Mr. Abdulqader Obaid Ali, Honorary Board Member of the Dubai Quality Group and founder and Chairman of Ideas.Arabia Subgroup, spoke about the objectives and standards of the competition and how it has benefited local organizations in Dubai. Ali further emphasized the importance of the implementation of Suggestion & Rewarding Scheme
 
 
by large and small organizations in positively stimulating and honoring creative employees who contribute constructively with their opinions to develop the organizational framework.
 
‘Idea of the Year’ competition, organized annually by Dubai Quality Group in Dubai, has played a very essential role in encouraging organizations to search for best practices and to appreciate feasible opinions and suggestions.
 
Dr. Lway Nackasha, Executive Director of EQA, indicated the role of the association in the dissemination of best local and global practices, and unifying efforts especially at the local level. He also mentioned the ways of participation in this competition and the method of continuous communication with the Emirates Quality Association through the sub-groups which will be established by the association for this purpose.
