Dubai Shopping Malls Groups weekly raffle draws add an element of surprise to DSS shopping

Arabian Centre, the newest mall in Dubai, was the venue of Dubai Shopping Malls Group’s weekly raffle draw to select ten winners, each of who won AED 50, 000 in cash and gifts.

The draw was part of the ‘Surprising Millions’ campaign supported by twenty three malls across Dubai. The campaign is aimed at making shopping in Dubai even more exciting with the option of winning AED 50,000 in cash and gifts every week; and instant refund of purchases.

As the winners were announced one by one, the crowd’s anticipation was unmistakable. This week’s ten lucky winners are Ayla Ziorer from Iran, Mohammed Ghulami from Iran, Akram Ibrahim from Lebanon, Zaied Marwan Al Rayes from the UAE, Abdul Nasir from India, Haroon from Pakistan, Fatmah Mohammed Al Shehi from the UAE, Bilal Rabah Jabber from Jordan, Farah Ali from the UAE and Sultan Al Moadhen from the UAE.

The winners who were contacted by the Dubai Economic Department to inform them of their surprise winning, couldn’t believe their good fortune.  

Haroon Ahmed, one of the winners said: “My love for sweets led me to winning! I was shopping for chocolates and savories at a local mall and I thought I will try my luck with the coupons. I can’t believe my luck, it is a sweet win!”

Four year old Zaied Marwan Al Rayes from the UAE was another surprise winner. His grandmother who was informed of the winning was ecstatic, “I can’t believe my grandson won in the Dubai Shopping Malls Group promotion. We entered his name for the raffle draw just for fun and now he is a rich boy! We will use the money to do more shopping for him and save the rest for his future.”

To receive the raffle coupons and enter any of the weekly draws as part of Surprising Millions, shoppers only need to spend a minimum amount of AED 200 at participating malls in Dubai. Shoppers can also double their chances of winning by using their MasterCard credit cards as they receive an additional raffle coupon.

The twenty three participating malls in the Surprising Millions campaign include Al Bustan Centre, Al Ghurair City, Al Manal Centre, Al Mulla Plaza , Arabian Center , BurJuman ,Century Mall ,Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina Mall, Dubai Marina Walk, Dubai Outlet Mall, Gold & Diamond Park, Ibn Batutta Mall, Lamcy Plaza, Mazaya Center, Mercato Mall, Oasis Centre, Reef Mall, Souk Al Bahar and Downtown Burj, The Dubai Mall, Town Centre, Time Square Centre and  WAFI Mall.
