The Al Bustan Rotana Dubai continues to intensify its commitment in providing excellent training not only to its staff and employees but also to students aspiring to be top-notch hoteliers of the future. The five star hotel and one of Dubai’s finest landmarks supports young hoteliers by providing them internship and work experience opportunities to give interns the excellent opportunity to be part of the hotel and have the actual learning experience in dealing with guests as well as learn about the five star property’s operations.
The Al Bustan Rotana Dubai’s Employee Development Department is pleased to share that for this year alone, the hotel has assisted students from the Emirates Academy, Raffles Campus, Dubai Men’s College, French School Dubai, and the German School in Dubai. Furthermore, interns from international hotel schools such as Les Roches, Swiss Hotel Management School, Glion, Institute of Hotel Management, India and others had the chance to work for six months in the hotel, gaining actual hospitality exposure that equips them with valuaable knowledge about the whole hospitality system.
Justine Ormandy, Rotana’s Area Director for Employee Development commented, “The program has my full support. I believe that it helps students get a realistic outlook and helps them put theory into practice. It also provides students with the opportunity to talk to people doing the job and get their point of view. For the company, we can build relationships for the future. When we look after our trainees well, they go and talk to their friends about it and we build our reputation. It also helps us see how student’s expectations are changing, get insights through their presentations and keep up to date with the market. It’s great to see the confidence grow in the trainees when they complete their training. The credit also goes to our committed Al Bustana Rotana’s Assistant Director of Employee Development, Sharon Fernandes for her commitment, to the hotel’s department heads as well as to our well-trained departmental trainers.
