Leading value-added IT distribution firm, Logicom and global leader in network-critical physical infrastructure (NCPI) solutions, American Power Conversion (APC) join forces through major distribution agreement
Logicom, a leading premier Microsoft, Cisco and HP authorized distributor regionally headquartered in Dubai, UAE, recently announced the signing of a key distribution agreement with American Power Conversion (APC) by Schneider Electric for the Middle East region. The recent move is an integral part of Logicom’s ongoing expansion drive to expand the firm’s portfolio, with the objective to build a comprehensive offering of products and services from a host of global technology firms. The current tie-up will cover all major APC products and services, and will enable Logicom to distribute APC products across Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Yemen.
Best known as a high-quality UPS brand, APC is a global leader in network-critical physical infrastructure (NCPI) solutions. They also provide protection against some of the leading causes of downtime, data loss and hardware damage such as power problems and temperature. APC’s comprehensive solutions, which are designed for both SOHO and corporate environments, improve the manageability, availability and performance of sensitive electronic, network, communications and industrial equipment of various sizes and usage.
The addition of APC to Logicom’s current portfolio, which already includes Cisco and HP’s business products and services, is expected to attract strong reseller interest from the diverse regional IT reseller market, from large enterprise resellers to SMBs. Logicom’s broad approach towards penetrating the reseller market across the Middle East is also expected to be supported by APC’s wide range of products which are tailored to meet the needs of specific market segments.
On the other hand, APC will benefit from Logicom’s extensive reseller base and market reach across multiple territories. The manufacturer also expects to see significant results through Logicom’s unique competitive advantage as a single source for a diverse range of international, industry-standard technology products and services.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Nicholas Argyrides, General Manager Logicom GCC, said: “At Logicom, we are extremely upbeat about our partnership with APC, as we see strong synergies between the leading technology manufacturer’s products and the rest of our portfolio, especially Cisco and HP. As we begin to see a positive change in the regional economic climate, this key relationship will definitely help us in preparing for the upturn, while aiding in achieving current targets and strengthening customer relationships.”
“We trust that APC will see a committed performance and strong collaboration from Logicom – just like with all other vendors that we work with. With proven track records and high business stability on both sides, APC and Logicom will be a great match when it comes to serving existing customers and reaching untapped market segments. We have already started acting on a promising business plan that includes several key initiatives including training exercises, promotions and reseller incentive programs,” added Mr. Argyrides.
“We are excited about the agreement with Logicom. The partnership presents the ideal platform to extend APC’s network-critical physical infrastructure (NCPI) solutions to a broader base of business entities requiring comprehensive IT support. Logicom’s well established distribution network brings APC’s critical technology, industrial applications and their dedicated support services closer to both small business enterprises and larger corporations as well as industrial sized businesses in the region, said Thierry Chamayou – Regional Business Development Manager, APC by Schneider Electric.
