Korean-born teenager Byeong-Hun ‘Ben’ An, made history earlier this week, when he became the youngest ever winner of the US Amateur Championship, ten days before he celebrates his18^th birthday.
 
In winning the event, An supplanted Tiger Woods as the youngest Amateur Champion in the 109-year-old history of the Championship.
 
An is a high school senior at Bradenton Preparatory Academy in Florida, and will enroll at the University of Southern California on a full scholarship later this year, where he is sure to make a big impression on the golf team.
 
And while he was busy winning the US Amateur Championship last week, Bradenton Preparatory Academy, Dubai, a new school based at Dubai Sports City was making history of another kind, opening its doors for the first time ever.
