- Provides exciting incentives like free International calls worth AED 240, with additional monthly discounts
Etisalat today announced exciting benefits for Wasel customers who wish to shift to post-paid GSM. Customers with 'Wasel' accounts can now easily shift to the post-paid GSM system, free of charge, while retaining their SIM cards and their numbers. Additionally, Etisalat also announced exciting incentives like free monthly international calls worth AED 20 per month, for 12 consecutive months, and an opportunity to avail additional monthly discounts for customers opting for conversion. This service is being introduced for the benefit of those who wish to enter the monthly billing system.
Besides the free monthly credit on international calls, customers can also benefit from additional monthly discounts for local and international calls, depending on their mobile usage for the month. Additionally, customers opting for conversion can also benefit from higher discounts available to the post-paid customers through Etisalat’s International calling plans: the Favorite Country Plan and the Super Off Peak Plan.
Khalifa al Shamsi, Vice President, Consumer Marketing, Etisalat, said: "We decided to launch this offer after market studies showed that many customers wish to upgrade to the postpaid GSM mobile services, which enables them to receive customised monthly bills as per their preferred format and negates the need for regular recharging. By allowing prepaid 'Wasel' users to upgrade without changing their number or the SIM card- which may include personal numbers and data- we are bringing our customers the freedom and ease of using their phone first and paying later."
Al Shamsi continued: "The shifting process from 'Wasel' to postpaid GSM will be easy and fast. The customer need only visit their nearest Etisalat Business Centre, and with the necessary documentation, will be immediately migrated to the post-paid system."
Shifting to the postpaid GSM system enables the customers to avail of services such as receiving a detailed bill, opting for the most preferred billing format such as summary bill, multiservice bill for mobile, fixed line and internet or detailed bills via SMS, signing up for the international roaming facility and many other features, including the free Etisalat Calling Card (ECC).
This service comes in response to customer demands, as many prepaid users wish to upgrade from the prepaid Wasel service to the more structured freedom of the postpaid service. Customers who wish to keep the contact number they currently use due to business and personal reasons will find this option especially beneficial. This offer represents Etisalat's commitment to providing services to customers as and when they are ready to use them.
Customers can call 101 for more information, or visit Etisalat business centers to shift their Wasel numbers to post-paid GSM.
