Dubai Women Establishment will participate in the 5th Global Meeting of the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, to be held at Deauville, France on October 15-17. The Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society was ranked among the top five influential forums worldwide by the Financial Times in 2007 and aims at promoting the vision of women on the key social and economic issues of our times. The Global Meeting 2009 will see 106 speakers from 70 countries including CEOs, business leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, thinkers, artists, politicians and policymakers take the podium under the theme "Think again, think ahead! It is time for action, change and hope".
Speakers at previous editions have included Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Cherie Booth-Blair, Muhammad Yunus, Zhang Xin, and H.M. Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, among others.
“DWE is privileged to participate in this meeting of one of the world’s most prominent Forums relating to women. Raising the profile of the UAE’s role in furthering the international agenda on key women-related issues is an important focus of Dubai Women Establishment,” says Lamia Khan, DWE Communications & Marketing Director. “Participation in events such as these builds on DWE’s belief in creating a strong network of connections with global organizations involved in giving voice to women’s issues, and facilitates a cross-cultural exchange of experience,” adds Khan.
