• AUE is the first University in the UAE has acquired the accreditation to offer the New Foundation Program for high school students who their grade scores below 60%
   

 The American University in the Emirates (AUE) has obtained the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), to offer the new foundation program that help high school students who their grade scores below than 60% to continue their studies at the University level.
 
 
Mr. Mohammad Saleh bin Bedwa Al-Darmaki, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the AUE, has stated that:” At AUE, we aim to improve the quality of high school graduates. The Foundation Program offered at AUE should be considered as another opportunity for those who would seriously like to continue their academic path“.
 
Mr. Khalaf Al-Qubaisi, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, reiterated: “the duration of the Foundation Program is one year. The admission is opened now for registration, and study will start Sunday November 1^st, 2009. This new program includes five core subjects; Arabic communications skills, English communications skills, Study and Learning Skills, Computer, and Mathematics.”
 
Dr Muthanna G. Abdul Razzaq, President and CEO of the AUE, pointed out that “ the adoption of the New Foundation Program is another milestone achievements of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / CAA, which will enable high school students who obtained a grade score below than 60% to continue their education. By completing this program successfully with a grade point average of 70% and above, they will receive attested certificates by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which will allow them to start their academic studies at AUE or any other accredited University in the Emirates ”.
 
Students who are willing to register in the New Foundation Program should earn the ICDL certificate. The English competency required as the exit standard is TOEFL 500 (173 CBT, 61iBT) for those students intending to enter higher education programs delivered in English medium and TOEFL 400 (97 CBT, 32 iBT) for those going on to Arabic medium programs.
 
The admission is open now for registration and the study will start November 1^st, 2009 at the AUE.
