Taking the mystery out of print and cut: Emirates Computers presents Roland DG initiatives at SIM, Abu Dhabi
|
Emirates Computers recently showcased their expertise in Print and Cut technology at Abu Dhabi’s annual Signage, Imaging, Media (SIM) event. Emirates Computers spoke at the Digital Printing Forum event, presenting their case study titled “Taking the mystery out of print and cut”. The forum offered the first ever environment focusing on applications rather than products for the region’s signage industry.
As part of their Roland Creative Centre and Roland Academy, Emirates Computers print and cut initiatives are aimed at introducing printing houses, sign shops and small advertising companies to non-conventional applications. Speaking at the forum, Emirates Computers Viscom and Manufacturing Sales Manager, M Karthik, said that “at little or nil investment, the Roland print and cut technology can be integrated into the existing workflow to increase profits.
Print and Cut technology has been an area where the traditional sign maker in the UAE has been hesitant to venture for a long time. The SIM forum created awareness around the technology and educated vendors” he said.
Sign vendors in Europe and the Americas have already adopted the print and cut technology and integrated it within business workflows. Emirates Computers expertise in the Roland technologies aims to enhance the offerings of sign makers in the UAE.
“The aim is to identify and highlight areas where small sign shops and advertising agencies can make additional profits. This initiative has gained huge acceptance and appreciation from the industry and we hope that this forum has enhanced the understanding for vendors in the region,” Mr Karthik concluded.
The Digital Printing Forum was held from the 18-20 October at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition and Convention Centre’s annual Signage, Imaging, Media (SIM) event, 2009.
