- Saudi International Motor Show witnessed the unveiling of Kia "Soulster" and “Cerato Koup”

Kia Motors-Al Jabr Automotive Saudi Arabia has officially launched the Kia "Sorento (XM) 2010" which is derived from the "Sorento" multi-use sport car. It was one of the most exciting events at the Saudi International Motor Show which took place at Jeddah's International Exhibitions and Conventions Center. The Motor Show was inaugurated by Eng. Mafarreh Al Zahrani, the Director General of the Department of Roads and Transportation- Makkah Region, organized by Al-Harithy Company for Exhibitions from 25 - 29 October 2009 and witnessed a large number of dignitaries and media representatives.
On behalf of Sheikh Abdul Latif Hamad Al-Jabr- Chairman of Al Jabr Automotive, Sheikh Hamad Abdul Latif Al-Jabr, from Al Jabr Automotive also attended the opening of the show and the official launch of the new Kia Sorento. He expressed his pleasure about Kia’s presence amongst the world’s major car manufacturers, assuring that KIA's participation have added value to the show. In addition, the Pavilion hosted the representatives of Kia's parent company; Mr. T. J. Park - General Manager, Kia Regional Headquarters for Middle East & Africa, and Mr. Michael Sohn-Manager, Kia Regional Headquarters for Middle East & Africa.
Kia pavilion stood out with several of its dazzling 2010 Model line-up vehicles, some of which were absolutely all-new-models or improved versions of their predecessors. The exhibition also hosted the official release of Kia "Soul" SUV-C; an all-new innovative car in the compact category which also is the first Korean car to receive "Red Dot Design" award for vehicle design during the international competition held in Germany earlier this year with participation from a large number of noted car manufacturers. The Kia "Soulster"- a brilliantly designed concept car was on display as well which essentially became center of attention of young, enthused Saudi customers.
Another star was unveiled at the Auto Show - the sports version of Cerato; Kia Koup which is shortly launched after the ground breaking success of its sister-vehicle "Cerato" in the Saudi Market. Its futuristic design attracted the attention of large number of visitors who were dazzled by innovative Korean design and its intelligent implementation at the new coupe having four seats and excellent interior and exterior equipment that makes it a leader in its class which is designed specifically for the modern youth.
During a tour of Kia pavilion at Jeddah Motor Show, Sheikh Hamad Al Jabr mentioned that Kia offers a diverse range of vehicles that meet different types of customers’ requirements both on emotional and practical levels. Kia line-up included 12 different models naming "Mohave", "Sportage" & “Sorento” which are sport utility vehicles; the luxurious "Opirus" while "Carnival" and "Carens" makes up family profile in addition to "Optima" and "Cerato" in sedan category plus the small truck "K4000". He assured that the rich diversity Kia offers in its vehicle line up, makes it a major contender to many famous car marques operating in the Kingdom and around the world and is able to exceed customer's expectations.
