International meeting for Gulf investments in Morocco November 19th

• OAPEC's Secretary General, Gulf Investment Fund Chairs and Key GCC and Moroccan Businessmen Attending

 
 
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Moroccan businessmen are to meet for a 2-day event in Rabat: GULFINVEST II, November 19 and 20. An initiative by the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) and Arab Gulf Agency for Media and Communication (AAMC), the international event is to discuss investment opportunities in Morocco, with economic, business, investment institutions participating thereof, along with experts, university staff and searchers to explore global economic crisis implications and reflections on GCC and Morocco economies. The meeting is held in cooperation with Skhirate, Témara, L'Agence marocaine de développement des investissements, American Chamber of Commerce and Oxford Business Group.
 
H.E. Mr. Abbas Ali Naqi, OPEC Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Ali Bin Saeed Al-Sharhan, president of Arab Authority for Agricultral Investment and Development (AAAID), H.E. Mr. Khalifah Jasem Alquari, executive director of joint ventures at Qatar Holding Inc. (strategic and direct investment leverage of Qatar Investment Authority) the financial assets of which amount to USD 60 billion, GCC commerce and economic chamber heads, as well as GCC and Moroccan businessmen will be among participants.
 
AIDMO's Director General, Dr. Mohammed bin Yussof, is to offer a presentation on the role of industrial investments in soothing implications of the global economic and financial crisis. Additionally, both Prof. Ibrahim Seif, Carnegie Middle East Center international consultant, and Dr. Stephan Verhaert, finance professor at the American University in Cairo (AUC), are to give valuable inputs on the role of investments in surviving the global crisis, using lessons learnt for the future, and how GCC countries can face the results of the crisis. Other GCC and Moroccan ministers and key officials will be present.Morocco is to be presented as an alternative hub for GCC investments that has already encountered several hardships in the EU and USA.
 
GULFINVEST II will be noted for its industry-based meetings, particularly food, new-tech, transport, tourism, service, energy, mineral, real-estate and bank industries, where relevant bodies are going to present promising investment opportunities throughout Morocco. Further, other financial and investment agencies and funds will present potential GCC investment opportunities in Morocco during direct meeting between businessmen concerned.
 
An exhibition will be held to showcase GCC-Moroccan projects aiming at finding a room for communication and exploring potential GCC-Moroccan joint ventures to further joint economic and trade cooperation.
