DHA Director General receives Irish Minister of Trade and Commerce.

Dubai - The Director General of the Dubai Health Authority welcomed the Irish Minister of Trade and Commerce, who visited the DHA headquarters on Tuesday.
Billy Kelleher, Irish Minister of Trade and Commerce met with His Excellency Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the DHA to explore and enhance mutual cooperation between Ireland and the Dubai Health Authority
The meeting was also attended my senior DHA members and officials from the Irish Minister’s office.
The meeting is part of a large Irish trade mission to the UAE, which is being organised by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Government’s Agency that is responsible for developing small and medium enterprises (SME) sector in Ireland.
A total of 44 companies are participating in the trade mission from different sectors such as healthcare, education, construction, telecommunication and information technology.
His Excellency Al Murooshid and Kelleher discussed ways to boost cooperation especially in the medical field.
His Excellency Al Murooshid, provided the Minister with an overview of the Dubai Healthcare system which showed the high level of quality healthcare available in the Emirate of Dubai.
Taking this meeting forward, the two parties decided to explore mutual cooperation in healthcare by organising a meeting of five Irish Companies, specialised in healthcare, with DHA senior members.
Three Irish companies in the field of architecture and construction met with the team members of the Director of Business Development section at the DHA, to discuss future partnerships and ways in which the two parties can gain from each other’s experience in the healthcare field.
Similarity, two Irish companies specialising in information technology met with IT section at the DHA to discuss ways to boost cooperation between them.
The meeting with the DHA Director General and the Irish Minister, held in the DHA Director General’s office, was attended by the Ms Heba Al Shaar, Director of Institutional Marketing and Communications at DHA and the Irish delegation included Ambassador Ciaran Madden, Irish Ambassador to UAE, John MacNamara, Regional Director of Enterprise Ireland, South Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America, Nasser Zahran, Senior Market Adviser of Enterprise Ireland, Middle East and North Africa.
