• DHA, DNRD and TECOM investments collaborate to launch medical fitness centre


• Initiative to expedite medical tests for issuance of employment and residence visas

 
 
Dubai - The Dubai Health Authority in collaboration with Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) and TECOM Investments, a developer of knowledge-based business clusters and a member of Dubai Holding, inaugurated today a completely dedicated medical fitness centre in Dubai Knowledge Village, a member of TECOM Investments, to expedite the processing of medical tests for the issuance of employment and residence visas.
 
His Excellency Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the DHA and Brigadier Mohammed Al Merri, Director General of Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) inaugurated the centre located at Block 12 of Dubai Knowledge Village in the presence of Abdullatif AlMulla, Group CEO of TECOM Investments.
 
The centre aims to benefit employees of companies operating within TECOM’s 11 business parks including Dubai Knowledge Village, Dubai Internet City, and Dubai Media City, as well as the people living in and around the vicinity.
 
With the opening of this centre, the DHA has a total number of 12 medical fitness centres spread across the Emirate of Dubai. These include centres at DIFC, Al Satwa, Al Safa, Al Mankhool, Al Khawaneej, Al Twar, Airport centre etc.
 
The centre located in Dubai Knowledge Village will have a registration counter, a separate male and female section for conducting blood tests and x-rays as well as a nursing room. In addition to this, it is the second centre in Dubai, after the Al Satwa centre, to have a VIP lounge to offer fast-track services for its VIP customers.
 
The centre will be manned by DHA officials and offer services from 8 am to 3 pm from Saturday to Thursday.
 
His Excellency Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority said, “The collaboration with TECOM Investments is a step in the right direction, particularly with the large number of companies and employees operating out of its clusters. It is, therefore, logical to host a medical centre at the venue in order to be in close proximity to our stakeholders.”
 
“At DHA, we want to ensure that we provide our stakeholders convenience and the move to operate from various centres across Dubai is in line with our strategy for health for the Emirate of Dubai. This centre will cater to the medical fitness needs of the population in new Dubai and is also the second DHA centre, after the Al Satwa centre, to offer VIP services to its customers.”
 
AlMulla said: “There has been a consistent increase in demand for visa applications across our 11 business parks. The opening of this medical centre reflects TECOM’s commitment to offer value-added services to business partners. It also comes as part of our mandate to deliver customized services throughout our business parks.
 
“We appreciate the support rendered by DHA for setting up the centre and overseeing the procedures involved in the medical tests. We are confident the latest offering will complement the centralized single window government services offered by TECOM Investments and prove beneficial to the wider community within the free zones.”
 
With 11 business parks under its portfolio, TECOM Investments continues to develop programs and initiatives that seek to benefit the thousands of business partners operating out of its free zones.
 
The Medical Fitness Centre‘s hours of operations are from Sunday to Thursday, from 8AM to 3PM..
