Dubai Metro timetable changes during the holidays of Eid al-Adha and UAE National Day

Dubai Metro working hours are being changed during the holidays marking Eid al-Adha and the 38th UAE National Day (from Thursday 26/11/2009 to Thursday 03/12/2009) such that the metro service during this period will run from 06.00 am to 00.30 am (after midnight), announced Peyman Younes Parham, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep’t at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA).
On Friday 04/12/2009 the trains will operate from 14.00 to 00.30, and as of Saturday 05/12/2009 the metro service will revert to normal schedule i.e. from 06.00 am to 11.00 pm, added Peyman.
“RTA is keen on keeping the public informed of any changes in the service timetable of public transport modes during holidays and national events as part of its efforts to provide quality service at the highest global standards applicable in this vital sector which underscores the progress made by the UAE in general and Dubai in particular” he added.
The Director of RTA Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep’t called on the public to abide by the rules of safety & security at the metro stations and on board the carriages as they these regulations have been intended for the security & safety of all metro riders.
Marking the occasion and on behalf of all employees, RTA extends sincere congratulations to the Arabic & Islamic nations on the advent of the blessed Eid al-Adha, and to the peoples of the UAE on the 38th anniversary of the National Day, wishing them every success & prosperity.
