New Year’s Eve Celebrations
ikandy
Start the countdown to the New Year at ikandy and enjoy the coolest entertainment while you lounge and chill out under a canopy of stars. Bid goodbye to 2009 in style with Café del Mar resident DJ Valentin Huedo. After dinner, let your hair down and groove the night away to 2010 with the mesmerizing music of ikandy’s very own DJ Carlos! Available at AED 988 per person inclusive of a parade of delectable gourmet fingerfoods throughout the night as well as an open bar and a bottle of Champagne per two persons. Minimum reservations of four persons. Guests who dined in the hotel’s restaurants are offered special open bar package at ikandy countdown party for AED388 per person starting at 22h30.

Usher in the coming of the New Year with a fantastic buffet spread of festive international specialties at Dunes Café at AED 688 per person including unlimited house wines, house spirits and a glass of Champagne for the toast.
 
Countdown at the Lobby
Party the night away with the sensational American chanteuse Lisa Shaw together with DJ JT Donaldson as they perform original club favourites as well as well-loved hits at the Lobby from 22h00. 
 
Throughout her career Lisa Shaw has been a proven staple in the house music world and was best described as the ‘dance/electronic Sade’ - both aching and soothing. She has helped define an era with her various releases, including the worldwide underground hit “Always”. Her warm, sexy vocals have graced many a house music track since 1995. She's a "house diva" -- owner of an anonymous voice that soars above crowded dancefloors. She has always been in and out of the press including the New York Times, Billboard, CMJ and URB Magazine, as well as performing live on the distinguished David Letterman Show as a backing vocalist for pop-singer Jewel. Even Madonna paid tribute to “Always” in Rolling Stone Magazine, quoting Lisa Shaw to be “So cool!”
