Excitement mounts for DIFF 2009 with Box Office now open

Dubai - The Dubai International Film Festival Box Office is now open – so don’t miss out on the chance to get your tickets for the week-long festival (December 9-16).
 
This year has more than 170 culturally diverse films from 55 countries, providing movies for all ages and tastes.
 
Tickets can be bought at Box Office counters in Dubai Media City CNN Building Lobby, First Group Theatre at Madinat Souq and Cinestar Mall of the Emirates.  Movie-lovers can make informed decisions about their choice of films by picking up DIFF Festival Guides provided for free at all the Box Office counters and stand a chance to win invites to the closing night ceremony.
 
DIFF’s Managing Director Shivani Pandya said that to add to the convenience of festival enthusiasts, this year, several flexible ticket packages are also being offered. “DIFF is a family and community event, and this year, we are offering several incentives to movie-goers. In addition to a wide choice of convenient locations to purchase the tickets, they can also make phone orders, do online bookings and even get virtual passes for easy ticket redemption.”
 
Ticket prices start at Dhs10 for students and children, rising to Dhs25 for a regular screening and Dhs80 for a gala. There are several package deals, providing an easy way to choose films and significant cost savings to movie enthusiasts. Film fans can also buy tickets on the day of the screening or join the stand-by queue where approximately 10 minutes before the screening starts, any empty seats are sold to the stand-by queue on a first come first served basis.  
 
Now in its sixth year, DIFF 2009 is held in association with Dubai Studio City and will be held from December 9 to 16. Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Pearl, Emirates Airline and Madinat Jumeirah are the principal sponsors of DIFF and the event is supported by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture).
