FAS and Abu Dhabi maintain the world record for the 3rd consecutive year by flying the worlds largest aerial banner on National Day
|
To commemorate the 38th UAE National day, and upon the request of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al-Nahyan and the vice chairman, Captain Salem Al Kayoumi, Falcon Aviation Services (FAS) will once again take to the skies with the largest aerial banner in the world.
FAS first set this World Record in 2007 and will once again tow the aerial banner, which is in fact the UAE National Flag, under a FAS Bell 412 Helicopter along the Abu Dhabi corniche and foreshore between approximately 2.30 PM and 4.00 PM on Wednesday December 2nd
FAS have just launched a new, dedicated Heliport facility next to Marina Mall and the Abu Dhabi International Marine and Sports Club in support of FAS’ ongoing plans for promoting tourism in Abu Dhabi and some of the best views of the banner will be in these areas as the Flag will be circling overhead a number of times during the flight.
Measuring in excess of 50,000 square feet in size, the banner will be visible from up to 20 kilometers away, ensuring it is on show to virtually the entire population of the city of Abu Dhabi.

FAS are the only company in the GCC authorized by their UK based partner, HOBS Limited (Helicopter Overcity Banner Systems) to fly the giant banners. In addition to the record breaking UAE Flag, FAS also fly a number of giant advertising banners for clients, including the Shangri-La Hotel who has the distinction of being the launch customer for aerial banner advertising in Abu Dhabi.
With a fleet of over 20 helicopters and 5 corporate jets in service, FAS offers a wide range of services including helicopter and private jet charters, aircraft maintenance and management, military and oil & gas support, aerial photography, banner towing and sightseeing tours in Dubai and now, an exciting new aerial sightseeing operation in Abu Dhabi.
