Blue Coat Leads Content Security Gateway Appliance Market for 11th Consecutive Quarter

Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI), the technology leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that it continued to lead the worldwide content security gateway appliance market for the third calendar quarter of 2009, according to the most recent market share report released by Infonetics Research. Blue Coat increased its market share in the third quarter to 23.8 percent, extending its market leadership for the 11^th consecutive quarter.

According to Infonetics, the Content Security Gateway Appliance market is expected to grow from $1.2 billion in 2009 to $1.9 billion in 2013. During that same period, Infonetics projects that the Web/malware appliance segment of the market will grow 60 percent from $650 million to $1.03 billion.
