- Saudi HR Leaders and organisations to be honoured at the ‘Kingdom HR Gathering and Awards Summit’ in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next week
Dubai – Specifically designed for a booming region with growing human resource needs, the ‘Kingdom HR Gathering and Awards Summit’ will take place from December 15th – 16th, 2009 at the Holiday Inn in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Organised by leading business information company, naseba, the conference will bring around 100 HR Directors and decision makers from across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under one roof.
A major feature of the summit is the inaugural Kingdom Human Resource Excellence Awards, a naseba initiative sponsored by Monster.com, the premier global online employment solution.
The awards recognise those organisations and individuals who have demonstrated excellence in both HR functions and practices. The vision of both the awards and the event is to bring the entire HR community from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under one single platform.

The winners will be revealed on December 15th at the event’s awards ceremony at the Holiday Inn in Riyadh. An independent panel of judges will pre-select the winners prior to the awards function. Judging will be based on the information provided by nominees in the form of answers to questions regarding initiatives that were undertaken or became effective in the last 12-18 months.
Selection criteria include aspects of communication and innovation, contributions to organisation and business needs, contributions to employee needs and contributions to industry/national needs, amongst others.
During the two-day Kingdom HR Gathering and Awards, attendees will take a look at the best practices and strategies needed for achieving excellence in HR. Leading HR Directors from across the region will debate the key challenges confronting the industry, taking nationalisation issues into consideration as well. The region’s HR leaders will also discuss factors affecting the delay in Saudization projects in KSA as well as strategies for improving recruitment and employee retention across the HR sector.
