Doha, Qatar - Qtel today launched a breakthrough new service that enables people to instantly connect with outstanding broadband Internet.
 
The service has been designed to fuel the senses of people across Qatar, enabling users to get online immediately and with minimal fuss.
 
A special 30-day package provides unlimited Internet access for the duration, and will appeal particularly to people in Qatar during the campaign season, offering a quick and easy way to connect wherever you are. In addition, the 30-day package is ideal for new arrivals, since it can be purchased easily with minimal fuss.
 
Special three-day and 10-day Qtel Prepaid Mobile Broadband packages are also available, ideal for visitors and business travellers. No sign-up fee and no residency permit are required for any of the three special packages.
 
As well as providing a new choice for people in Qatar, Qtel developed the service for newly-arrived residents and people seeking a short-term Internet solution. It also offers stronger support for visiting business people, who are typically dependent upon hotels and business centres to connect while in Qatar.
 
To make things even easier, Qtel is offering a new “Quick Start” package, offering an advanced modem with the service, so that people can immediately plug-in and feel the satisfaction of advanced broadband Internet performance.
 
In order to provide a warm welcome for visitors to this service, Qtel is offering Prepaid Mobile Broadband at its special outlets at Doha International Airport, as well as at Qtel Shops across the country.
 
Qtel’s three-day Prepaid Bundle is available for QR150, while the 10-day Prepaid Bundle is just QR300 for unlimited access. The 30-day Bundle costs just QR500, enabling people to save significantly on roaming charges and provider fees.
 
Qtel deploys the latest 3.75G technology for its Broadband service, supporting a high-speed experience with download speeds (HSDPA) of up to 7.2 mbps and upload speeds (HSUPA) up to two mbps. With such a strong network backbone, Broadband is increasingly becoming a core entertainment and business service within the country. Enhancing Broadband Internet and adding further network infrastructure to extend its reach across the nation have been key strategic priorities for Qtel in ensuring that people can fuel their senses using the Internet.
