The President of Lebanon, Michel Sulayman, yesterday toured the Beirut International Arabic Book Fair, where he visited the UAE stand organized by the UAE Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
 
Welcomed by the UAE Ambassador to Lebanon, Rahma Hussein Al Za’abi and Basmah Yunus, Head of Copyright, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the President toured the exhibits and appreciated the wide range of exhibits and the cultural contributions of the Emirates to Arabic history and culture. He also appreciated the leading role played by UAE in the promotion of Arabic literature with its active publishing industry.
 
During the visit, President Sulayman was also presented with a book about the founder of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The UAE stand has been proving a big draw at the fair, attracting a large number of visitors and book enthusiasts.
