French Fashion University Esmod launches Middle Easts first masters degree in fashion business

• New academic program to support growing regional demand for quality fashion professionals 

 
French Fashion University Esmod – Dubai, the only academic institution fully dedicated to fashion in the Middle East, has launched the region’s first master’s degree in fashion marketing and business in response to rising demand for quality fashion professionals amidst the rapid growth of the local and regional fashion sectors. The University will also roll out a new three-year program of fashion and makeup workshops for working women, with the initial batch to start in January 2010.
 
The Esmod Fashion & Marketing Master’s Degree courses will be delivered by top instructors who will provide local and global insights on current fashion trends and best business practices. The new program will teach the proper use of marketing and management tools and techniques to capitalize on the tremendous growth opportunities of the Middle East, where the fashion sector has yet to fully mature. The Gulf’s expanding clothing market alone is estimated at around USD 12 billion, offering lucrative prospects for both practitioners and entrepreneurs.

Dubai was chosen by Esmod as the Middle Eastern base due to its cosmopolitan and trendy atmosphere, characterized by a multicultural population that uses fashion to express their backgrounds, culture, and inner creativity. Fashion here has been very instrumental in fostering harmony among local and foreign cultures. The UAE’s emergence as a global business centre has paved the way for the local and regional fashion industry to attain significant growth. The diversity and creativity of the country’s residents are expected to fuel further innovation and development in the field.
 
Established in 2006, The French Fashion University Esmod - Dubai is part of the renowned Esmod International Group of 21 fashion schools spread across the globe. The Dubai branch offers 3-year bachelor degree programs, short programs that are open to the public, customized short courses and master’s degree programs. All programs are delivered in English.
