Dewan Architects & Engineers honored by top design magazine
Dewan Architects & Engineers, one of the region’s leading architectural and engineering consulting firms, has again received top honors from the prestigious UK industry magazine “Building Design Magazine”, the latest edition of which profiles the world's largest architectural practices.
The company, which entered the magazine’s World Architecture Top 100 list for the first time last year, was ranked as the 60th largest firm globally this year and the 5th largest firm in the Middle East. The list, which combines sectoral and regional denomination together with the number of architects employed to provide a concise reference point for industry professionals, serves as a unique, definitive record of the world’s largest architecture practices.
Dewan’s position within the World’s Top 100 Architectural Firms reaffirms the company’s status as one of the leading firms in the region, despite the numerous challenges faced by the industry during the global economic downturn.

Dewan Architects & Engineers, is a regional architectural and engineering design firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Doha, Baghdad, and Manila. It commenced operations in the early 1970s and opened its first office in the UAE in 1976. The firm’s portfolio includes in an impressive number of successful projects, including multi-rise tower developments, shopping malls, urban planning projects, residential developments, educational campuses, and major hospitality and hotel projects, amongst others. It became the first firm in its industry in the region to receive an ISO 9001 certification.
The firm, which employs more than 300 professionals, has a proven record of accomplishment spanning over 25 years of industry successes, with a number of projects in various sectors across GCC countries, Africa, Asia and Middle East.
