TEAM ABU DHABI TRIATHLON PUTS IN MODEL AL AIN PERFORMANCE

Widely regarded as some of the fastest athletes on land and sea, Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon - the crack-endurance squad backed by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority – was unable to match the lightening quick speeds of the radio-controlled supermodel aircraft taking to the skies at the Al Ain Aerobatic Show today.
The seven member team, which took time out from preparing for March’s inaugural Abu Dhabi International Triathlon, dropped into the four day aerobatic extravaganza from their Al Ain winter training base to test their skills against the jet-propelled models.
“Despite all the team’s training over the winter, we’ve still got a long way to go before we can match the speeds of these fantastic aircraft, although jet-propelled cycles could be a big help at the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon,” joked Faris Al-Sultan, Captain of Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon.
The Al Ain Aerobatic Show ended today after a stunning four days of aerial master-class, gravity-defying displays and a wealth of fun activities for all the family.
