Al Bustan Rotana Dubai Presents First Batch of Super Chefs!

The Al Bustan Rotana Dubai is proud to announce the course completion of the hotel’s first batch of Super Chefs! Super Chef, the appropriately called internal career development initiative, a training program conceptualized by Executive Chef Christophe Prud’homme, aims to develop the skills and abilities of selected chef de partie and commis chefs and create a pool of kitchen staff well trained and capable or working various roles in the entire kitchen operations of the hotel.
 
Seven kitchen staff including Yuphin Khochsila and Jatuphol Puyprom of Blue Elephant Restaurant, Basilio Delapa of Benihana Restaurant, Shaikh Nouruddin and Pramilla Thapa of Banquet Kitchen as well as Shahid Iqbal Rajput and Mohammed Sohel Hossain of the hotel’s Cold Kitchen participated and completed the program with flying colors. Each of them have spent numerous hours learning and being trained in various sub-departments of the Al Bustan Rotana’s busy kitchen operations which included pastry, butchery, hot, cold, banquets and Oriental kitchens, and even at specialty restaurants Benihana and Rodeo Grill. Shaikh Nouruddin, one of the participants and now a certified Super Chef commented, “It was a very enriching experience to learn so much about the whole kitchen operations. Before, I was only familiar and focused on the Banquet kitchen, but after joining the program, I found out there was so much more to know. I would definitely encourage all my fellow chefs to join, finish the exciting courses and be a Super Chef like me.’’
 
Al Bustan Rotana’s Executive Chef Christophe Prud’homme, who was the main man behind this training program, added “I am very proud of the Super Chef program and with what my staff had accomplished as they worked very hard to finish the courses. It fills me with pride to know that I have staff who are well-trained in all aspects of our kitchen operations. I am definitely looking forward to our next batch of Super Chefs, which is obviously in line with the hotel management’s goal of being the preferred employer providing the best training venues for the career development of each and every employee of the hotel.”
