LEADING INTERNATIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPY PRACTITIONERS TO SPEAK AT PHYSIO DUBAI 2010 COFERENCE

Top medical practitioners from the regional and international health industry will be in Dubai from 28^th to 30^th March 2010 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, to discuss the latest evidence in relevant topics related to the spine and knee, pediatric neurology, exercise prescription for aging adults, and use of real-time ultrasound in rehabilitation at PHYSIO DUBAI 2010, the third conference being organized by the Emirates Physiotherapy Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Emirates Medical Association, Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Convention Bureau
 
“We aim to fill the gap between practice and research by providing the latest in the growing body of knowledge and research in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation to ensure that the physiotherapy practice becomes evidence based. Furthermore, we plan to bring together physiotherapy practitioners and expand the existing platform for regional medical practitioners to engage exchange and experience the latest and best practice methods in the field of Physiotherapy,” said Abdul Adheem Kamkar Hassan, Chairman of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society.
 
The three-day conference will cover several topics including; Ultrasound imaging in Lumbopelvic region, Management of Lower-limb Tendinopathy, Cerebral Palsy, Rehabilitation of Knee conditions, Spine related disorders and Exercise prescription for aging adults etc. to name a few.
 
“The need for Physiotherapy and the development in this field has become a necessity in the modern world with hundreds of thousands of people requiring such treatment across the globe, every year. Patients requiring such treatment/s can range from very young to very old”, observed Abdul Adheem Kamkar Hassan, Chairman of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society.
 
The Conference will have a very comprehensive scientific program that will cover state of the art lectures, updated presentations, workshops, panel discussions, interactive sessions, and research abstract presentations covering all fields related to physiotherapy.
