Statistics Center Abu Dhabi Participates in Tawdheef
|
Abu Dhabi - In an effort to identify and recruit promising statisticians, the Statistics Center - Abu Dhabi (SCAD) participated in Abu Dhabi Recruitment Show "Tawdheef", which concluded Thursday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Center (ADNEC).
Tawdheef was attended by 65 government and private sector exhibitors and attracted thousands of job seekers. In participating in events like Tawdheef, SCAD hopes to highlight its role in providing employment opportunities for national talent.
Mr. Abdullah Omar Abdullah, Director of Support Services at SCAD, noted during the event that the Center requires talented, motivated statisticians in fields as diverse as demographic, economic and environmental studies.
"SCAD firmly believes in our national capabilities, and we seek to offer an environment that offers exemplary professional development opportunities for our employees,” Said Abdullah. “SCAD’s Emiratisation programme is ambitious in its scope, and we are continuously seeking strategies conducive to developing our work processes and providing the best training programmes for our employees. We believe that our investment in our staff will grow their talent and capabilities and encourage them to constantly strive toward ever better work processes.”
Abdullah also added that the Center already employs a large proportion of UAE nationals of various specializations, including fresh graduates alongside those with a long track record and high level of expertise.
“We’re looking to hone and grow talent at all levels. Our prerequisite for recruits is that they be motivated, open to new opportunities and eager to learn,” said Abdullah.
Job seekers who visited the SCAD stand during Tawdheef were welcomed by the Center’s HR staff and given briefings about SCAD’s efforts in launching career development initiatives that seek to enable young nationals to assume important functions in the survey and statistics sectors.
